Characteristics of a Micro-Church
  • Micro-Churches are missional communities. The focus of a Micro-Church is engagement around a particular neighborhood in order to bring the gospel in that place.
  • Micro-Churches focus on the holistic ministry of the church: worship, personal spiritual growth, and mission to the world.​Micro-Churches provide a tangible opportunity for everyone in the church to own the mission. All of God’s people are needed and their activity or passivity directly affects the group. One member of the body cannot grow cold without lowering the temperature of the whole body.
  • Micro-Churches foster gift utilization. Since the church is small, there is a real awareness of who is gifted in what area and how those gifts aid the whole body and causes the body to become mobilized into mission at extremely high rates.
  • ​Micro-Churches foster contextualized missionology. Because the focus of the mission is small and personal, the church can determine the best way of reaching their neighbors rather than adopting the overall campaign of a large church.
  • Micro-Churches are simple and nimble. This allows them to make decisions and turn on a dime far quicker than a church of 100 people. 
  • Micro-Churches multiply. Their strategy isn’t primarily concerned with growing its numbers, but it's vitally interested in growing Jesus’ influence in a community through multiplication.
Micro-Churches are reproducible. It makes it possible for everyday leaders to legitimately say “follow me as I follow Christ.”

  • Make adjustments as needed to create identity.

Connect Church held its first service on Sunday, November 21, 2021

Connect Church exists to connect people, grow in Christ, and go into the community. This is a place where you are the church and homes are the facility. Connect Church is a micro church with a MACRO vision!
